RE; Tim Price

Tim Price has been out of action for the last month due to a broken collar bone from a crash on his push bike.  The crash was a result of a second attemp to jump a storm drain but it wasn't the jump that cause the crash but the front forks breaking off on impact.  Tim who has been listed on the draft Junior TDN team has missed the first selection event at Glen Maggie Vic.  However Tim after intense physio has tested the collar bone riding C Grade at the Pathfinders Summer Series 3 April 7.  Tim said the shoulder was fine althought a little bit sore and would be riding A Grade at the next trial.  He is looking forward to the second TDN selection event in NSW 5th May.

Neils TDN Trail:

Trials riders hold court at Glenmaggie The annual Glenmaggie Two Day Trial was held over Easter in Victoria's
Gippsland region. The event has been hailed as a success according to Motorcycling Australia.
Trials Commission Chairman Dean Nuttall, with over 120 riders competing and Trials des Nations squad members ready for high level competition.
The Gippsland terrain included many hill climbs, logs and a winding creek. Dylan Rees from Victoria had a great ride and won convincingly.  He led both days and was at no stage threatened. The creek was filled with intimidating jagged rocks and vertical banks but despite these challenges, Kevin Zarczynski, the oldest of the Squad members, fought off many of the younger riders to place second. Neil Price had travelled all the way from Western Australia and arranged his bike to be transported to Melbourne. He was fully committed all weekend and had some brilliant rides. Price's third place was a just reward, although not totally representative of his great attitude or skill, according to Nuttall.
Women's World Championship contender Michelle Owen competed against the men in B-Grade and placed 5th after the 2-days. Though slightly disappointed with the result (Owen made the podium at Glenmaggie last year), her training is "only just beginning as she  prepares to peak for the World Championship in September", said Nuttall, adding that overall, Glenmaggie had an encouraging number of women competitors.
The next event takes place at Pacific Park near Sydney on May 5. This event will be the last chance for the TDN squad members to compete against one another prior to the 2002 Team's final selection.
